If you've worn the original Oculus Quest, you probably know it's one of the best VR experiences money can buy. Completely wireless, great graphics, and even a controller-free hand tracking mode. You've been waiting with bated breath for the new Quest 2. If you are new to VR, Quest 2 will be your first VR experience, you will get a reward. The Quest 2 is better (on paper, at least) than the Quest - and cheaper to boot - and will likely be the new gold standard in VR. And you can pre-order it now.
The list of improvements and upgrades for the new Quest reads like a VR addict's wish list. First and foremost, perhaps, is the improved resolution. At around 2 KB per eye, the headset has roughly twice the resolution of the original headset and should go a long way towards reducing the dreaded "screen door" effect.
