Since then, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has successfully put an end to India Mahindra's plans Perhaps the company simply stopped making cars that resemble jeeps in order to import its inexpensive SUVs. Why? Because the Mahindra Thar looks like so much like a wrangler.
Mahindra unveiled the Thar over the weekend, saying the new SUV is even more powerful than the model it is replacing. As much as the SUV looks like one Wrangler outside it definitely doesn't have the same charm inside; It's clear that at the end of the day this is a very affordable SUV.

We're not even going to talk about the headlights, grille, and overall profile imitating the Wrangler. That is obvious enough. Inside, the SUVs venture out on different roads. While the Wrangler has a very nice cabin even in its most affordable configuration, the Thar looks like a sea of gray plastic. Budget isn't always bad, but there's nothing particularly appealing about this interior.
In front of the driver are analog displays and a small information screen as well as a 7.0-inch infotainment screen on the left. All of the controls seem pretty simple.
The Wrangler Lookalike is powered by either a 2.0-liter gasoline engine or a 2.2-liter diesel engine. Buyers have the choice between a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. 4×4 capability is also standard, and the Thar is getting new safety gear that would have been new in the US decades ago. Anti-lock brakes, two airbags, and other essentials for the US are now included.
We won't see the Thar in the US as the FCA legal teams fought over it Block all Mahindra imports of the Roxor to the US Model that also looks like a Wrangler. Maybe that's the best.
