Both photography and videography enthusiasts will love this.
Expect more than just awesome still-photos and videos with the 12-megapixel camera. The camera can move for a full 360 degrees to create perfect panorama shots. Longer night exposures, canceling out subtle hand vibrations that might normally lead to blurry shots. As of the moment DJI is accepting pre-orders for the Osmo. Avid fans can expect DJI to begin shipping within the next two weeks. Personally, I can't wait to pool together some money and wait for a possible cheaper version of the Osmo in the near future. At $649, this is already way above my normal budget. Let's just wait and see if an Osmo Lite ever hits the Philippine market next year.Destinations Magazine
Ever wondered whether GoPro will ever meet a worthy adversary in the handheld camera market? Guess what, after GoPro's announcement to join the drone movement, consumer drone maker DJI unveiled their latest product-- the high-end $649 Osmo.
As DJI's first non-drone, consumer product, Osmo comes outfitted with drone features to deliver cinema-quality stabilization. Its specs make it a formidable camera in its class, and you can expect professional quality videos and photos every time. For starters, the Osmo boasts a rig meant to keep aerial videos smooth. In fact the camera itself is the same exact one that comes in one of DJI's drones (read: DJI's three-axis gimbal stabilization). Video resolution can go up to 4096 x 2160, as well. Say goodbye to shaky, blurry videos (which standard software can hardly fix)!
The Osmo is 6.4-inches long and weighs less than a pound, making it more than just a classy selfie addict's dream come true. Imagine holding a fixed-aperture, handheld stabilizer with an ISO range 100-3200 for videos and shutter speed that can go from 8s - 1/8000s. Heck, you can instantly become the next Spielberg with this thing, probably.
