This is a new author for me. I chose this book as it seemed the only decent one on offer this month for Amazon First Reads so I didn't know what to expect. This is a really good thriller. At first, the book seemed to offer nothing original and I've read similar storylines in other books. What made Her Last Breath stand out if the fact when Deirdre starts to dig into Caroline's secrets and the secrets of the family she married into, she discovers nothing is what her sister's final message led her to believe and Caroline was wrong about a lot of things. I also liked the fact the book uses more than one narrator and the chapters bounced back and forth between them. This creates a lot of suspense as you need to read on to see how the story strands all fit together. I thought this was a terrific read.
