New York Red Bulls star Thierry Henry was one of the stars that made their presence felt at Monday’s US Open final. The World Cup winner was seen schmoozing with stars of screen and sport as he witnessed Marin Cilic win his first-ever Grand Slam.
Last night’s star-studded US Open Men’s Final was filled with fun in the Emirates Suite. Overlooking center court, title sponsor Emirates airline hosted sports stars Tony Parker and Thierry Henry, who cheered on Kei Nishikori and Marin Cilic for the 2014 title.
Just a few seats away, pals Jason Sudeikis and Jon Glaser sipped beer and enthusiastically cheered on Nishikori. A fan of Tony Parker himself, Sudeikis approached the basketball star and told him of his love of the San Antonio Spurs. The two exchanged numbers and spoke further inside the Emirates Suite.
The 37-year-old star will now head back to his day job and hopes to help his Red Bulls get into the playoffs as they find themselves in sixth place in the Eastern Conference but have match in hand over both Philadelphia Union as well as Columbus Crew.
The Red Bulls will have a tough stretch in the coming days as they face challenges from conference leaders DC United as well as at Philadelphia and a trip to Montreal where they will face the Impact in CONCAChampions action.
