Help! My Kid is Growing!

By Sillymummy @silly_mummy

if you want your children to be intelligent

Um, OK. So I will try, EINSTEIN!

Well, you know your child is growing and becoming a big boy when they start asking for… well, Big Kid stuff.

Curly now tells me the ‘usual’ are for babies. No more books about princesses and princes when I want to go tuck him in. But I will keep trying to read to him, fairy tale or not.

He’s now asking for more grownup everything and is definitely enjoying the freedom of picking his own books, DVDs, toys and food from the shops. Great! That’s what I want for him to do.

But I truly would die a little inside when he starts telling me “Mummy, no kisses in front of my friends” when he reaches that stage. Why can’t I keep him small? A little longer? I need those cuddles!

Um, where’s that book? The one on raising boys? Argh, there you are. Thank you, Steve Biddulph! Must re-read!

When did your child start pushing you away?
