The Chelsea Markets are located in an old Nabisco factory (the creator of the Oreo), this food mall is the city’s largest and has a Moroccan bazaar feel with all the low lighting and cute cave -like shops. There are more than two dozen food shops, including Amy’s Bread, Fat Witch Bakery, the Lobster Place, Hale & Hearty Soup, Ronnybrook Dairy and the Nutbox.
My highlight was the Lobster Place, which is a fish market displaying various catches of the day from shellfish to freshly made sushi/sashimi. Upon entering the shop we went straight to the lobster selection and had a freshly cooked lobster (after all it's not called 'The Lobster Place' for nothing) and sushi for lunch which was divine… A whole steamed lobster for lunch which didn't break the bank - Oh my sweet Lord!
