It's officially been five years since Adele called from the other side.
On October 24, 2015, the British superstar released "Hello", the first successful single that would precede 25, his third studio album. With these two albums being Diamond Certified by the Recording Industry Association of America - their highest certification, awarded to 10 million units sold - Adele became the only artist of the 2010s to reach the top with more than one album. .
And since then, it's been radio silence. (However, I hope the singer's concert Saturday Night Live the same day, "Hello" turns 5 means we need something new any day.)
Adele is not alone, however.
While people love Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga and Dua Lipa have all made their pop music comeback in this year-long trash fire, there's still an unseemly roster of stars who seem more than happy to keep us waiting until 2020 and beyond. (We watch you, Rihanna.)
