I teamed up with Rob Edgcumbe to provide media coverage of the 2016 Aerial Firefighting International conference. The highlight of the event were the aerial demonstrations session which included a variety of static display aircraft like this Bell 205. The Bell 204/205 are the civilian versions of the classic UH-1 Iroquois (Huey) single-engine military helicopters. They are used in a wide variety of applications, including crop dusting, cargo lifting and aerial firefighting. This one is operated by Sacramento-based Helimax Aviation as part of their fleet of firefighting helicopters. Nikon D300 w/18-200mm, processed with Aperture.
