A Freedom People’s Alliance candidate contesting the upcoming Local Government under ‘Helicopter symbol’ has been arrested with 2400 mg of Cannabis by Meegoda Police.
Police team attached to the Meegoda Police on patrol has checked this person who had behaved suspiciously and found Cannabis in his possession.
The suspect is a minor employee of the Ayurvedic Department and is a resident of Watareka. He was to be produced before the Homagama Magistrate’s Court yesterday evening. Investigations are continuing under the supervision of Meegoda Police OIC Chief Inspector Nevil Priyantha.
