Helena Hauf is a DJ from Hamburg, Germany who has been creating quite a buzz recently and now that she has signed with Werkdiscs/Ninja Tune she has put together a nice free mixtape of music that influences her (for those of us who like to see the forces behind a creative mind). Hauf’s sound is hard to pinpoint, as she moves freely through the genres of dance music that have names like Chicago, Dirty Acid and Wave. The Reaktion mixtape has no track information as Haus has said that she wants to “leave that to the people, i want them to make up their own ideas about it… “ If the mixtape is any indication of the weirdness that inspires here, we should get some really cool experimental music from this young talent.
