Meteorology Department has issued warning stating as Showers or thundershowers are expected to occur at several places in Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa and North-Western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the afternoon or night. Rain is expected in several parts of Eastern and Uva provinces.
