It's the first day of spring!! Although I don't think the weather got the memo - it's bucketing down here. Spring is one of my favorite times of the year. The days are slightly longer, yet I can still snuggle up next to the heater at nighttime, and I can still cook whatever I want. Fresh spring produce is starting to appear at the markets too. Strawberries are at their best right now, and I spied the first of the season's asparagus last week. Hopefully it won't be too long before the first of the new season's garlic appears as my supplies are dwindling fast.
Our autumn menu plan this week has some great meal ideas for kids. Easy pork stroganoff with buttered noodles, honey mustard chicken and root beer country ribs are all sure to be well received by the fussy members of the family. Pair these with our tasty broccoli salad and you have a meal to please everyone. Enjoy!
