The arrival of winter has coincided nicely with the start of the school holidays. The cold weather means I feel not the slightest jot of guilt about curling up in front of the fire and watching the Tour de France. Perfect timing in my opinion. The slower pace of the holidays calls for easy nourishing meals that will hopefully ward off the inevitable colds of the season. Enter cheesy soups and hearty curries.
