The summer holidays aredragging on and Harry Potter can't wait for the start of the school year. It ishis fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and there arespells to be learnt and (unluckily) Potions and Divination lessons to beattended. But Harry can't know that the atmosphere is darkening around him, andhis worst enemy is preparing a fate that it seems will be inescapable.

This is one of my favourite Harry Potterbooks, the one where things take a dark turn when Voldemort is fullyresurrected and a battle between the most evil wizard in the world and hisloyal Death Eaters and Harry and his companions starts to come into focus.Things will be very different from this point on. This is the last Harry Potterbook I own in paperback, bought as a collection with the other three soon afterthe release of the first movie. The other books in the series were bought inhardback soon after publication. I've read Harry Potter and the Goblet ofFire so many times the book is falling apart and some sections need to beread with caution as pages are falling out. A sign of a well-loved book. Ialways cry at the end when Harry brings Cedric's body back to Hogwarts andCrouch refuses to believe Voldemort has come back out of terror rather than stubbornness.I look forward to the release of the Illustrated Edition in 2019.
