Edinburgh-based singer-songwriter Harry Harris has shared the video for ‘Apocalypse’, a song that will feature on his upcoming album ‘I Feel Drunk All the Time’ (out on 21 June). Filmed at Home Farm Festival by Stephen Rötzch-Thomas, the video is a live illustration by the political cartoonist and former Children’s Laureate, Chris Riddell.
The sparse, emotive and intimate song was inspired by the sonic guitar sound of Julien Baker and finds Harry facing up to his emotions and trying to get through grief Amidst talk of being handed leaflets on the street and being told it’s not too late to start believing in God, Harry settles into a more settled and defiant tone: ‘Say it with me, say it with me, say it with me… If this is the apocalypse, at least we know the scale of it’ B”
