Shah Rukh Khan has never been short of directors and has always worked with the best of the best. But off late the star power the SRK termed as Bollywood Baadshah has been declining due to some ill fate and poor choice of films. The actor made a grand comeback with Chennai Express last year and now he is looking to cement his position at the box office as the top most star all over again with some carefully planned films that promise right mixture of critical and commercial success.
The actor is mixing one big critic favorite film and one grand entertainer for the upcoming two years. Take a look at his projects below.
Happy New Year : We already know about this project don’t we. The film brings back Farah Khan again in Khan camp after a slight outfall. Happy New Year with a cast comprising of Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu sood and Deepika Padukone is billed as a musical heist thriller in typical over the top style of Farah Khan. Planned to release for Diwali later in the year, the film promises to be the biggest of the year.
Fan : A YRF productions directed by one of the productions blue eyed boy Maneesh Sharma. All the films made by the director have so far been critical as well as commercial success and offered interesting and fresh storylines. Fan too is no different as it promises to show SRK like never before. Internationally renowned make up man and crew are being already to create SRK’s look in the film which has already created enough buzz. The film planned as August 14 release next year.
Raees : An Excel Entertainment production, the name of the banner is enough to generate tremendous excitement among the multiplexes where the productions house’s currency is as at all time high. Add Farhan Akthar into it and SRK as a mafia guy, you have making of an exciting drama that can make merry in multiplex and be critically satisfying as well.
Untitled Rohit Shetty film : The team of Chennai Express is going to unite again for a big mass masala film in the first half of next year. Very little is known about the film but the combination is sure to generate all the hype necessary right today.
Untitled Anurag Kashyap film : Who better than Anurag Kashyap to make the best as far as critically acclaimed film goes in the current times? The director, who has wanted to make a film with SRK for a long time, has got a nod, finally, according to sources. The film is expected to be the biggest budgeted film in the career of the director and present SRK in a never before seen avatar. What more can a fan of the star ask for?
With such a fantastic line up of films that encompasses both the critics as well as mass concerns, the star is looking to hit back with never seen before vengeance to regain his lost top spot at the box office.
