Firstly a Happy New Year and may you have a year full of plants, soil and hopefully harvests better than 2012!
Secondly, Happy 1st Birthday to my blog! I have been writing this blog for a year now and you know what, I’m proud I’ve actually stuck with it and posted on average 2-3 times a week. I’ve sometimes wondered why I’m doing it, I have a job as a gardener that keeps me busy and my 2 young boys manage to fill any other time I may have. I wish I could have some profound answer to share with you as to why I spend hour upon hour writing about gardening or cocktail making but you know what…… I don’t. All I can say is I enjoy it and I’ve now got some lovely readers (I doubted for many months that anyone was reading it!!). What have I learnt over the past year?…….well I now know a fair amount about widgets, plugins, feeds, tags, blah, blah, blah (not sure my life is any richer for this techno blog stuff!), I am slowly getting the hang of twitter and I can now make 52 cocktails that I wouldn’t of had a clue how to make at the beginning of 2012 (the 52 cocktails alone surely make it a year well spent?).
So now it’s time to plan for 2013. There will be much going on in my own garden but no resolutions have been set yet. I’m finding it hard to top last years, somehow making a new cocktail every week required little motivation! Ideas please.
