Happy New Year! 2016

By Englishwifeindianlife

Happy New Year, wonderful friends and readers! I will forever cherish the wonderful support and love you have sent me during 2015! I'm so grateful I decided to document my journey from England to India, along the way discovering my passion for writing and getting to know so many amazing people! Thank you for sticking around for the ride!

Happy New Year! 2016

I've lived in India for just over two years now and this past year I really have started to settle down and see this small city in the middle of the subcontinent as home! 2015 has been the year the initial wave of culture shock started to fade, understanding blossomed and happiness grew! I have learnt so much about myself and the world around me during these past twelve months, finding a certain degree of contentment. I flew on my one way ticket to India in December 2013, but it was during 2015 India really started to feel like home!

Once again, Happy New Year!! 2016, the year of the monkey, I hope that it's a great year for all of us!!

As I am reflecting back upon 2015, here are five popular blog posts from the past year:

  1. The Unadorned 'Indian' Wife
  2. Sore cheeks and affection
  3. How a foreigner can successfully adapt to being part of an Indian family?
  4. Hot chocolate for the English Bhabhi
  5. Harry Potter and the Foreigner Didi

Dear readers, I hope you have a great new year! Anyone have any resolutions?
