Check out the original post Happy New Year 2015! on
Image provided by DigitalArt from Freedigitalphotos.netHappy New Year lovelies! May God bless you and keep you and yours in all that you do this year and may all your wishes and everything you deserve come true. I’ve been missing for about a month, but this time I actually have very good reason! My computer died. Yep. Vamoosh – abracadabra poof poof…..it just died on me without warning.
Okay I lie – it was warning for quite a while but I was ignoring it….and praying that it would be okay. In August of 2014 (it’s going to take a while to get used to writing 2015…), when I was preparing my dissertation it began giving SERIOUS problems. After finding a nearby computer store and £80 for repairs later, then a purchase of Windows 7, Microsoft Word etc….it still did not get perfect. It lasted me for a month or two to get a few things uploaded to the internet etc…..then I gave up.
The Luv Luv came by (finally) for a visit and took a look – and I sent it to our trusty family of computer nerds (the local one is in Leeds, but I used to go to his brother in Toronto)…and was told I may as well upgrade since it would need so much fixing. Thanks to the crackpot who fixed it down here, put in a much smaller hard drive and messed it up even worse (that’s sarcasm in case you didn’t notice), at the mere price of £80.
So I gave up. I have to say I was a bit sad in December – I did not meet any of my deadlines (blogging or graphic) and had wanted to take part in a few blogging competitions that would have meant great things for my personal development – but sadly, without a home computer it is pretty much impossible to get these things done. Especially the graphics which require specific software …which I do have at work, but I also had extremely tight deadlines (which I believe I will be returning to next week!).
Then, after being really down and letting the Luv Luv know I was very down, he got me this little beauty that I immediately posted on Instagram!
Thanks to my amazing Luv Luv for the best Christmas present I could have received this year – oh and this…. #muchneeded #blogspending #needwindowstutorialasap

The only problem I’ve had so far is that it has Windows 8.1 on it and I’ve NEVER used it – so I will have to be sitting down to tutorials very soon.
Of course, tomorrow is my birthday, so won’t happen then – especially since the Luv Luv is coming down to spend the day with me after his morning exam.
Other than that, if I owe you a blog or a graphic, please do have a bit of patience – I will be re-scheduling my time this week and sorting it – so if I owe you a blog and had promised it to you in December I will get it done asap….that includes blogs for Whittings & London Walks, Nuffnang Bloggers Conference at the M Hotel in London, Boucleme hair products, Parragon Books and quite a few others…
Then of course, this year I’ll be including more personal blogs, and I promise to try to be a bit more organised. I’m going to attempt to bring back Wandering Wednesdays and hopefully soon, #MHMonday posts in a slightly different format.
Finally, it is time for a blog revamp. I’ve found a few problems on this blog, including the fact that it’s too busy on the front page and that I cannot go back in my blogs further than the front page if I wanted to – I’m sorry – that was an oversight during my last revamp. Also, please keep your eyes open for a cleaner and more sleek look for the blog overall. As I’m developing, so is the blog, so the cute little ladybug is not going to be disappearing completely, but there will be some changes, some of which some of you won’t like as much….but the blog is due for a change and I hope that you’ll be there with me through it all and after!
I also have one little (or not so little) project coming up asap as soon as I figure out how to use my new DSLR camera! That’s all I can say at the moment, but look out for it on the blog, hopefully around March!
Finally, Happy New Year 2015 mes chéris. I hope you will all have a blessed year!
