Happy Friday everyone! Wedding planning has definitely managed to take over every major part of my brain capacity ever since getting engaged! While I’ve encountered more than several brides who have told me what a stressful experience it is, right now I’m not feeling the stress. I’m just super excited to plan plan plan away! We’ve already booked our venue and I said yes to the dress this week! Next up on my list, knock out the dress choice for the bridal party and decide on a wedding planner and caterer. I was never one of those gals who pinned or planned their entire dream wedding before they actually got engaged. (No offense to anyone who actually did pre-engagement pin.) But throughout this entire month of being engaged (sarcasm) I’ve stumbled across a bunch of helpful websites and resources – some I already had tucked away in the back of my memory and some that were totally new to me. For my pre-pinners, or newly engaged gals I definitely recommend you check them out!
Style Me Pretty. Definitely on my radar before the wedding. I mean, it’s practically every bloggers dream wedding rolled up into one corner of the web! (www.stylemepretty.com).
The Knot. The best wedding source on the web. The best. I love the local vendors section – one of their recommendations was where I found my wedding dress! (www.theknot.com).
Start Here. Just got engaged? Don’t even have a clue of where to begin your wedding planning? I highly recommend this checklist! Almost everything you’ll need to tackle from engagement day to wedding day – all helpfully broken down by the number of months before your wedding day that each task needs to be completed. Total wedding planning lifesaver.
Resources. These books are on my list to pick up. I’ve heard great things from several brides and am looking forward to diving in! (The Wedding Book: The Big Book for Your Big Day by Mindy Weiss, The Wedding Planner & Organizer by Mindy Weiss, The Bride to Be Book by Amy Krouse).
Full of Charm. New to my internets is Southern Weddings. Here I can get my fill of beautiful weddings, both perfectly modern and traditionally southern all in one stop. What I love the most are their wedding posts featuring real weddings and couples. The couples they feature always have the most genuine words, are filled with love for their spouses, and place a high importance on God being front and forward in their marriages.
