Happy End of the Year

French Postcard by Corey Amaro

In France to say Happy New Year before midnight tonight is bad luck. So instead they say:

Happy End of the Year!

For years I have been collecting without realizing that I was collecting French ephemera. Starting today until I run out I will put one old French postcard on my blog along with my regular post.

As it is January, this month the theme will be Bonne Annee (Happy New Year!). If you would like to buy (Five Euro) the original one of a kind postcard please let me know by email.

New Year Cards and Greetings are sent and said throughout the month of January. Old French postcards often had pigs and or clovers to symbolize Good Luck and Fortune.
