He is not here; He has risen. {Matthew 28:6}
He took death. He took death so that we may have life. He took death because He has that kind of radical love for you and I.
He took death…but that wasn’t the last of him.
He came back. On this day, he came back. He was resurrected from the dead. And so, today, we celebrate. Celebrate life, the life that only he could give us.
Since we have been united with him in his death, we will also be raised to life as he was. We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin. {Romans 6:5-7}
