I've read a few of McMahon's books, and been very impressed so had high expectation for this story. I was not disappointed. I really enjoyed this story. The story moves back and forth in time between this Halloween and the terrible night thirty-four years ago. I liked this. Hannah is your typical bully victim, quiet, vulnerable and an easy target. What happened to her is heart-breaking. You know from the start who the haunted local mother is and where the story will lead which was a slight disappointment. Still, Hannah-Beast is a good tale.
