H&M have upped their beauty game recently and I couldn't help but pick up a few things to try out! Here's my first impressions...
Hello Freckles H&M Beauty Collection Review Impressions
The packaging for one doesn't look like 'high street fashion retailer sells makeup' and dare I say it, I think it looks more appealing than Topshop's beauty range. I like the minimalist look and the prices are really reasonable too.

The hexagonal blush packaging is really unique and they have both cream and powder blush in a range of shades. As I have plenty of powder blushers, I opted for this cream formula that's quite a light color once applied but buildable. Dusty Rose is a perfect everyday shade, which is dewy and natural. I think I'll be trying out some of their powder blushers in the future - I think I only stayed away on my initial browse since I couldn't fit anything else in my hands. Next time, I'm getting a basket!

The All-Day Liquid Foundation is good and at £7.99 could rival other drugstore foundations around that price point. It's a good alternative for when I want something a bit lighter than my everyday Nars Sheer Glow. I have the shade alabaster that works really well with my skin tone as it's more yellow toned than pink. Once set with powder, this lasts pretty well throughout the day. Did I mention H&M have a few different foundations on offer and powder too - they really have covered all bases - if you pardon the pun.

Nude eyeshadow palettes are my makeup weakness as I'm sure you'll have noticed if you've been reading my blog for a while. These shades are all wearable colours, but they do need building up if you want a good coverage. They're not quite as buttery as I expected but I have heard good things about the individual shadows, so I may have to investigate.

The Velvet Lip Creams obviously appealed and whilst this shade looks lovely, I'm not sure it suits me since it seems a bit more blue toned on. It's not all bad though, I'm sure I can work with it to blend with other shades to suit better, or pass along to my sister who seems to suit any color lipstick!

Overall, I'm pretty impressed with H&M's beauty collection and I'll be heading back to try out more products soon. If you're into nail varnish, they've got a whole range of colours to suit and a matte top coat. If it's the same formula as the previous packaging, it's really good and an absolute bargain.

Have you got your eye on any of the H&M beauty range?
