H&M Loses The Weeknd Over Racist Ad + Will Nicki Minaj Follow Suit?
H&M released an offensive ad Sunday night, that has caused the company to lose The Weeknd as a partner.

H&M ran an ad with a black boy wearing a hoodie with the words “Coolest Monkey In The Jungle,” which they have since removed.

When the The Weeknd, who has a partnership with the brand found out, he Tweeted that he was embarrassed and cutting ties.

woke up this morning shocked and embarrassed by this photo. i’m deeply offended and will not be working with @hm anymore… pic.twitter.com/P3023iYzAb

H&M has since pulled the hoodie from their line, and released the following statement.

We understand that many people are upset about the image. We, who work at H&M, can only agree. We are deeply sorry that the picture was taken, and we also regret the actual print. Therefore, we have not only removed the image from our channels, but also the garment from our product offering globally. It is obvious that our routines have not been followed properly. This is without any doubt. We will thoroughly investigate why this happened to prevent this type of mistake from happening again.

We have questions like, Who in their right mind thought that this was an okay ad? Where are this little boy’s parents? Who got fired?  Anyway, now Twitter is waiting to see what Nicki Minaj is going to do. What do you think, should Nicki cut ties with the brand as well?
