WOW!
How is it almost OCTOBER already?
The weather here in the Midwest has cooled off quite a bit...and it's really putting me in the mood to get some Halloween decorating done!
For this project, I started with the Heidi Swapp Marquee Love Halloween Moon and Black Glitter Decorative Tape (available at Michaels Stores).
(I thought I might use the purple bulb caps...but decided against them. They'll make an appearance sometime soon, though...I'm sure of it).
I started by adding the Black Glitter Tape to the outside of the moon...
...next I added the bulb caps and Marquee Light string...(the silver glitter paper is already cut and comes with the Halloween Moon shape).
In order to hang the bats (included) from the top of the shape, I punched three little holes in the moon with my paper piercer.
Using invisible thread (not included) I hung my little bats from the moon at different lengths.*
* I waited to do this until I had already hung my moon so that I knew how long to make each thread.
I added the moon and bats to a black feather wreath I bought years ago (also at Michaels) and hung them from a Command hook over a mirror in my front entryway.
I LOVE the way this looks...I think it adds just the right amount of Halloween glam to the entry!
Coming soon...my front door and porch decorations!
