Arts & Crafts Magazine
Hey hey everyone!
It's FRI-YAY! and we've made it through the very first week of school!
The peace and quiet has been wonderful...but I gotta say...I'm missing those crazy monkey-children...(sad face).
I am, however, super-excited about the coming of autumn and all that it brings...cooler weather, apple-picking, pumpkin-spiced everything, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and especially fall decorating!
Today I'm sharing a look at part of the Halloween vignette that I created for the Heidi Swapp blog yesterday...
Now, I know you're all familiar with Heidi's Lightbox...but have you seen the brand new Halloween In Lights Lightbox inserts?!
These darling little acrylic accessories are the perfect way to dress up your Lightbox and to add some fall flair to your home decor...
To get my little pumpkin all ready for display, I first decorated the outer edges of my Lightbox with orange glitter tape*...
*NOTE: The decorative glitter tape is not very easily removable. It can be removed, but will most likely not come off cleanly. This doesn't really bother me, and I just add new tape over what doesn't come off...BUT, if this is something you know you wouldn't really like, then I recommend using the washi-style decorative tape availabe in the collection. The washi-style tape can be removed easily and doesn't leave any residue.*
Next I slid each of the 3 pumpkin inserts in the box...I love how the acrylic is "distressed" and how it gives my little guy a vintage-y look.
Finally I added some eyes and a smile...
ACK! He's so cute!
And he looks so darling in my vignette...
Wanna see him all lit up after dark?
Seriously perfect.
This little pumpkin (and all of its faces and accessories) is just one of the two insert panel packs available now at Michaels stores.
You can find a whole bunch of Heidi's new Halloween fonts & icons as well as brand new decorative tape for the Lightbox there as well!
And to see the entire Halloween In Lights collection - and to see some amazing inspiration using the collection - search #hshalloween on IG & FB.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
