- The Raithwaite Estate will be celebrating Halloween in true Whitby style this year, with a gloriously gothic Afternoon Tea available during half term.The luxury country retreat will be serving both a children’s and adult’s Halloween Afternoon Tea with a selection of bewitching treats for guests to sink their teeth into. The tea will be on offer from Saturday 26 October to Sunday 3 November 2013.
- Priced at £12 the Children’s Afternoon Tea includes a Witches Cornet, Blood Orange Jelly adorned with a Chocolate Web, and Lemon Monster Cake.The Adult’s Afternoon Tea is priced at £21 and features tempting autumnal treats such as Mini Toffee Apples, Jaffer Coffins, Pumpkin Tarts, and Parkin cake.

- A spooky Cocktail ‘The Estate Cauldron’, an alchemist style vodka based drink will also be on offer to accompany the tea, priced at £8, or £11 on its own.
- The Halloween Afternoon Teas will be served in the Poachers Bar, by day a timeless country salon with a relaxing, sociable atmosphere. By night, it transforms into an elegant bar.
- Guests are invited to take a moonlit stroll around the Estate’s 100 acres of grounds and Victorian gardens, where they may find more than just flower beds and fountains! Please ask at reception where you will be given a spooky map to guide you through the misty mazes in search of the hanging masks…if you dare.

The recently renovated retreat has been brought back to its glorious prime and comprises 73 contemporary guestrooms, a beautiful spa, sauna, swimming pool, fitness suite, two restaurants and two stylish bars, establishing the property as one of the finest luxury country retreats in the North of England. Nine individual charming cottages, tearooms and spa pods will be built in stages over the coming two years.
