Canadian fashion and tech industries collide in this epic collaboration between the Fashion Zone, Canada’s newest incubator and accelerator for fashion-inspired entrepreneurs, and Hackernest, Canada’s largest tech meetup: the first-ever Hack’n’Talk at Ryerson University’s Digital Media Zone on June 28 – 29. This two-day event brings together creative minds from both industries to work together on cutting-edge fashion/tech crossover projects.
The first of it’s kind, this fashion/tech hackathon presents a new take on the fast paced one-weekend-only idea incubation model. A lineup of industry expert demos and workshops will give teams the skills they need to take their idea from start to finish in just 24 hours – 3D printing, product design and coding are just some of the skills participants will learn. And of course, prizes are up for grabs for the top three teams with the most complete, cutting-edge, industry-barrier-shattering projects.
