A player earns a scoring-chance-for when he is directly involved in the play that produces that scoring-chance. Similarly, he is charged with a scoring-chance-against when he is directly responsible for the scoring-chance-against.
SCORING-CHANCES-FOR
Thomas Vanek has helped produce the most scoring-chances-for per-minute played; followed closely by Max Pacioretty. Other forwards that have produced a substantial amount of scoring-chance opportunities per-minute of ice time include; Brendan Gallagher, David Desharnais, and Lars Eller.
Ryan White has helped produce the fewest scoring-chances among Habs forwards, followed by George Parros. Surprisingly, Alex Galchenyuk has produced the third-fewest scoring-chances among Habs forwards since the Olympics.
PK Subban leads all defensemen in scoring-chances per-minute played; followed by Andrei Markov. Francis Bouillon has produced the fewest scoring-chances-for among Habs d-men.
SCORING-CHANCES-AGAINST
Lars Eller has been directly responsible for the most scoring-chances-against per-minute played among Habs forwards Other centres that have been responsible for a substantial amount of scoring-chance opportunities against include; David Desharnais.
Alex Galchenyuk has been directly responsible for the most scoring-chances-against per-minute among Habs wingers, followed by Daniel Briere, George Parros, and Max Pacioretty. Dale Weise, Brandon Prust, and Rene Bourque have been directly responsible for the fewest scoring-chances against per-minute among Habs wingers.
Jarred Tinordi has been directly responsible for far more scoring-chances against per-minute than any other Habs defenseman. Andrei Markov, and Josh Gorges have been responsible for the fewest scoring-chances against per-minute, although Gorges injury has produced a small sample size.
