HABS: One-game Scouting Report for Joonas Nattinen

By Kicks @Chrisboucher73
Joonas Nattinen was the Montreal Canadiens third round pick in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. He's a 6'2", 195 lbs right-handed centre, who played right wing in the game scouted. Nattinen has always had above-average vision and hockey instincts. The challenge for him has always been his foot speed.
This one-game scouting report is from a March 29th, 2012 AHL game between the Hamiton Bulldogs and the Texas Stars.
Nattinen scored 11 goals, and added 10 assists through 63 AHL games in 2011-12.
OVERALL GRADE
Nattinen played on the top line with Andreas Engqvist and Brian Willsie. He scored one goal, had 2 shots on goal, and earned a plus-2 traditional plus/minus.  His best work was produced in the defensive-zone, which is unusual for someone playing the wing, as their defensive-zone event totals are usually quite low. Naatinen however, had almost as many defensive-zone events per minute played, as he did offensive-zone events.
