Tinordi leading all Habs d-men in offensive-zone entries per-minute played
The Canadiens continue to struggle offensively. Brendan Gallagher and Max Pacioretty lead all Montreal players in offensive-zone entries with puck-possession per-minute played. David Desharnais leads all centremen in this category, while Jarred Tinordi has the most offensive-zone entries among d-men.
The lack of controlled entries among many players; specifically defensemen, puts the onus on the cycle and powerplay to produce all of the team's offense. With Gallagher and Pacioretty also among the few players producing successful cycle passes, more is required from the likes of Eller, Galchenyuk, Plekanec, Gionta, Vanek, Briere, and Bourque.
More on offensive-zone cycle passes can be found here.
I only began tracking line carries, including offensive-zone entries since the Olympic break.
