Unknown gunmen attacked a passenger boat in Bayelsa on New 12 months's Eve.
The assault occurred after the boat which had 14 passengers, left Yenagoa for Twon-Brass in Brass Native Authorities Space of the state.
Whereas the passengers had been unharmed within the assault, the gunmen made away with the 115-horsepower Yamaha outboard engine of the boat and dispossessed the passengers of their valuables.
Bayelsa chairman of the Maritime Staff Union of Nigeria, Mr Ogoniba Ipigansi confirmed the incident and likewise mentioned a rescue group was dispatched to the scene of the incident.
