Spiced Pecans
These mildly salty and sweet nuts will surely appease any unhealthy cravings you may have all throughout the day. Having them on hand during the holidays will be a fantastic idea too!

What you will need:
1 tbsp of packed brown sugar
1 pound of pecan halves
1 tsp of fresh thyme, chopped
1 ½ tsp of Kosher salt
1 tsp of fresh rosemary, chopped
½ tsp of pepper, freshly grounded
a pinch cayenne pepper
2 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil
What you need to do:

  1. Preheat your oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Place the pecans evenly on a baking dish. Roast until it becomes fragrant. This will take just about twelve minutes. It is a must that you monitor the nuts well as these can easily burn.
  2. In a small bowl, place pepper cayenne, rosemary, thyme, brown sugar, salt and pepper. Mix it well.
  3. Once the pecans are roasted, transfer these to the large bowl. Drizzle a bit of olive oil toss so that the oil will be evenly distributed. Add in the spices mixture. Toss once again so that all pecans will be completely coated. You can serve it right away if you want it warm. You can also try cooling them down and storing it in an air tight container.
  4. Additional information: Storing the nuts in an airtight container will allow them to last up to two weeks.
