How does T Mobile web guard work?
There are various features that this app flaunts which helps busy parents keep their kids safe and sound. The software works in 2 modes:
Family Allowance mode
The aim of the app is to ensure your kids have restricted phone usage and to keep a track of their whereabouts. As the service name suggests, it controls the allowance of phone usage for your juvenile. This service limits the phone usage of the connected phone in many ways.
- Only 10 numbers are listed in the allowed and not allowed section of the software. The allowed numbers can be dialed even after the scheduled time is over and even after the call limit is reached. But the not allowed ones cannot be contacted under any means.
- The app can also limit the number of messages sent by your kid. It shows how many messages were received by your child and how many did he or she send.
- You can also restrict downloads and data usage on the phone and thus check if your kids are using the data pack to download their favorite games and videos or not.
- Blocking the phone for certain time slots can help you reduce phone usage for your kids.
The Family allowance mode is a must use feature if you are concerned about phone usage of your kiddo!
Family Where Mode
Another useful feature of the software is the GPS tracking feature. You can constantly track the location of your kid and make sure they go out of the restricted zone. But there is just one flaw; the phone must have a T Mobile 4G connection for this service to be applicable. It also does not give the exact location every time and unlike Kidgy, it does not show the entire route taken by your child while going out of the specified zone.
Though not as good as Kidgy, yet it can be used for keeping an eye over your children. It is a small and easy to use software and is thus liked by many.
