Grumman TBM-3E Avenger

This Avenger displays its weapons bay during a flight demonstration at the Kaneohe Bay airshow.  Grumman outsourced the production of this classic design in 1943 to General Motors.  Avengers  manufactured by GM were designated TBM.  First flown in 1941, the Avenger served various countries as late as 1960.  Actor Paul Newman was a rear gunner in one during the war.  Nikon D7100 w/80-400mm, processed with Aperture.
