Grouplove have shared new song ‘Chances’ ahead of a US tour. Written and sung by Hannah Hooper – who is also responsible for much of the band’s artwork – it’s a call to arms to herself to jump out of her comfort zone more often, as this is where she – and anyone else – tends to grow: ‘Yeah, you’re bigger than me. Maybe tougher than me. Yeah, you’re fatter, maybe stronger, even cooler than me. And you’re out on the streets’
This is all delivered against a potent power pop sound that falls somewhere between The B52s, Bleachers and Pixies. It’s exhilarating.
