On this day in 1792, the cornerstone of the White House was laid. Look how far we've come! I'll be so happy when November 9th rolls around. Or is it November 29th? Anyhoo, in the meantime, we STILL have food & drink to look forward to and that's exactly what I'm focusing on in today's Grind. - Salvador Dali wanted to be a chef. He even released a bizarro cookbook in 1973 which contains 136 recipes paired with some very disturbing visuals. There's even a chapter dedicated to aphrodisiacs. For the first time in forty years, Les Diners de Gala has been republished by unique publisher Taschen.
