Grimes, a musician and former partner of billionaire Elon Musk, has rejected Meta’s founder Mark Zuckerberg’s vision of the future of the Metaverse. He stated that “if he oversees the metaverse, it’s dead.” The tweet came following The Independent tweeted that he was actually overseeing the metaverse.
Grimes’ comments
Claire Elise Boucher, or Grimes, as she is famous professionally, lately took to Twitter to oppose the concept of Meta’s founder Mark Zuckerberg overseeing the future of the metaverse.
She talked about it with her 1.3 M followers. “If Zack “oversees the metaverse” it’s dead and the people who care about art and culture are making something else. In addition, this is bad art. The quality of this image alone shows how lacking he is in making alternate reality. It’s competent, literally every indie game looks better.

“They have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are morally incapable of implementing something so powerful,” she added. And shouldn’t have the power they have presently,” possibly referring to the scandals Facebook/Meta have been associated with over the years.
The tweet came in response to The Independent’s report that Zuckerberg will appear on one of the tops, yet most controversial, podcasts hosted by UFC commentator and podcaster Joe Rogan.

Is ‘Zuck’ overseeing the Metaverse?
Actually, the answer is no. Meta’s version of the metaverse is not yet completely released. Currently, there are large companies in the metaverse world that have many daily users on their platforms. Such as Decentraland and The Sandbox, who are the top names in this industry.
In deed, with the massive multi-billion dollar brand which Meta, formerly Facebook, have, it’s likely they’ll have the top platform once it’s fully released.
