Grilled Peanut Banana Chocolate Cones – Dessert

By Ally @allykitchen

We love to have guest posts, and this idea is something at Ally’s Kitchen we just couldn’t resist! Enjoy this recipe developed by George Duran. It comes to us from Elizabeth L. on behalf of Reddi-wip. To find more fruit dessert recipes or easy desserts, visit www.reddiwip.com.

Summer is almost here! For some parts of the U.S., the weather already feels like summer has come to stay. Either way, these grilled cones will make a good addition to a party or would be great to eat any time you’re using the grill.

In fact, you could even fire up the grill just for these great little desserts! After all, what’s better than banana, chocolate chips, peanut butter, and whipped cream? Peanut butter and chocolate already make a great combination, so the other ingredients just make it even better.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup mini semisweet chocolate morsels
  • 4 sugar cones
  • 1/4 cup Peter Pan® Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 1 banana, cut in half lengthwise, sliced
  • Reddi-wip® Original Dairy Whipped Topping

 Directions

  1. Prepare outdoor grill for medium heat.
  2. Place 1 tablespoon morsels in each cone; top each with 1 tablespoon peanut butter. Divide banana slices between cones.
  3. Loosely wrap each filled cone with aluminum foil. Place cones on side on grill and heat 5 minutes or until morsels melt, turning on other side after 3 minutes.
  4. Remove wrapped cones from grill; let aluminum foil cool. Remove foil and top each with a serving of Reddi-wip.

Cook’s Tip

For a larger gathering, place mini morsels, peanut butter and bananas in individual bowls on a table with spoons in each bowl. Have guests fill a sugar cone with mini morsels, peanut butter and bananas. Wrap cones and heat on grill.
