Team Greys recorded a six-wicket win over Team Reds in the final of the Women’s Super 4 T-20 cricket tournament played at the Colts grounds yesterday.
Team Reds scored 81 for 9 wickets in 20 overs, Nethmi Senaratne being the top-scorer with 33 while Tharushi Rajakaruna took 4 for 16.
Team Greys led by Harshitha Madawi Samarawickrama reached their target in 19.3 overs with six wickets in hand to the title in glorious fashion.
The promising player Hansima Karunaratne who scored an unbeaten 35 was adjudged the Player of the Final while Prasadini Weerakkody of Team Reds and Tharushi Rajakaruna of Team Greys were named Best Batswoman and Best Bowler.
The experienced all-rounder Nilankshi de Silva who is the Team Reds skipper was adjudged the Player of the Tournament.
