I think it was early August when I first heard about Green Bullet coming out. Besides Pliny the Younger, this was the only other “triple” IPA I had heard of.
I am still on the fence with the naming idea but what ever it is classed as (rate beer has them both as DIPAs) the beer speaks for itself.
Green Bullet poured a mostly clear orange with a light wife head. As you can see in the photo it fades pretty quick. Carbonation is minimal to non-existent.
The nose of was pine, resin, and citrus, kind of under-spoken. Taste was the same with the malt balancing most of the bitter. The finish was dry.
I was most impressed by the fact that the alcohol is completely hidden on this one. Given the 10.1% ABV that is quite the feat.
Definitely give this one a go while it is nice and fresh!
