Plot: Follows the residents of a small island town who must navigate a sensational murder and the discovery of a million dollars; a series of increasingly bad decisions upend the once peaceful community.

Story: Greedy People starts when Will (Patel) and Paige (James) start a new life on a small island. They are expecting their first child and Will joins the police force. Will is assigned to work with loudmouth Terry (Gordon-Levitt) in a town which witnesses little crime.
The first day doesn’t go as planned, when Will gets involved in an incident and the cops must cover up what happened. It leads to them trying to create a suspect, take the millions of dollars they discover and keep the peace. However, they unwittingly unleashed a wild series of events.
Verdict on Greedy People
Greedy People is a crime comedy following a couple of small-town cops who are involved in an incident. They look to clean up the problem and discover a life-changing amount of money. However, their plans set of a series of events which change the lives of everyone they know.
This movie takes us into a small-town community, where things quickly spiral out of control. It creates a chaotic nature, which brings out the worst in people. This enjoys the chaotic story, which helps surprise along the way. It helps play into the fact small-town can have big secrets and certain moments trigger a domino effect. Himesh Patel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are great together, playing opposites who see first-hand how things get out of control. This is a wacky comedy that gets a lot more intense than expected.
