Story: Greed starts as we get to see how Sir Richard McCreadie (Coogan) made his money, making him the super-rich. He is preparing for a big party for his 60^th birthday. Where author Nick (Mitchell) is helping write his autobiography.

As Nick interviews people from Richard’s life. He starts to learn how corrupt he was with his business dealings and how he was facing enquiries about how he operated his business.

Thoughts on Greed

Greed is a satirical look at how the rich and famous operate in a world where they believe they are above the laws of the world. It shows him stepping on as many people as possible to make more money. This is done for comedic value, which highlights the tragic look at the difference in standards of working in poorer countries and how the rich take advantage of this.

We get plenty of warnings about what is going on, with the performance all working wonderfully. Steve Coogan going stylishly over the top in his role and David Mitchell bringing the eyes that are needed to everything we are seeing. This is set out to be one of the movies that is sending a message about distribution of wealth in the world and it is scary the divide it shows us.

Final Thoughts – Greed is a wonderful satire of the rich and poor divide.
