We are sharing today a different yet gorgeous prewedding shoot inspired by Great Gatsby! In Vietnam, wedding photos are taken before the wedding, so the lovely couple had their first look during the shoot – an emotional and sweet moment captured by the photographer! Both bride’s and groom’s attires were inspired by the 1920’s style, while the beautiful scenery complemented perfectly the vintage feeling of the shoot! Love!

From the bride: “We met through Tinder. On the first date he took me to a rooftop bar and had the bartender (his friend) to amaze me. On my birthday, he took me back to the first rooftop bar where we met. He gave me a large box as my birthday gift as we sat by the balcony. I opened the box, but there were smaller boxes inside each box and he made me mad. When I opened the smallest box, I saw a ring and him on one knee. He said the magic words. It took him three times to say it and I said yes”.

“In Vietnam, we have a custom of taking wedding photos before the actual wedding ceremony. For the prewedding photo shoot, our photographer planned for us not seeing each other’s wedding clothes before hand, so that he could capture our raw emotion for the first look photos. The photo shoots took place in Ba Vi Mountain, located in the north of Vietnam”.

“The best moment was when we had our first look; he cried like a baby. I was so full of joy and happiness knowing how much we love each other”.

“We chose the concept of 1920’s wedding style, inspired by The Great Gatsby. There was not much of decoration for the shoot, but we did collect lots of accessories for the bride to make the look as close to the 1920’s style as possible. The 1920’s style is always simple and elegant as it is. We love the vintage sense of it, and we did lots of research on GGL, Pinterest, etc. For my flower bouquet, we chose simple flowers; simple is the sophisticated complex.”
