By Newguy

logoDirector: Alfonso Cuaron

Plot: After the Russians destroy one of their own satellites the debris causes a chain reaction leading to astronaut Matt Kowalski (Clooney) and medical engineer Doctor Ryan Stone (Bullock) maintenance mission being interrupted. The ship is destroyed and the two of them have to work together to survive being left alone to drift in space.

Verdict: A visual masterpiece

Story: What more can you add to the all hope is lost survival storyline? This trumps all of them with the stuck in space with a race against time to get to each stage. The overriding will they won’t they make it makes the story full blown intense from the moment the incident happens until the final credits. (9/10)

Actor Review: Sandra Bullock – Ryan Stone a rookie astronaut who is there for one job but flying a ship or space walking was not one of them. Good performance in the lead role keeps us engaged to her story all the way through. (9/10)
