Although season 1 of the series ended on several cliffhangers last September, the channel decided not to follow up on the soap led by Solène Hébert, Victor Meutelet and Carole Bouquet.

Broadcast last September on TF1, the Grand Hotel series, an adaptation of the Spanish family saga of the same name, had gathered an average of 4 million viewers during its four weeks of broadcasting on TF1. A score that obviously did not satisfy the chain since Grand Hotel will not finally have season 2, reports the site Leisure TV.
A decision that may seem surprising given the many questions left unanswered at the end of the eight episodes, leaving many viewers frustrated. " The cliffhangers were planned, we still had more, but for reasons of duration, everything did not fit in 42 minutes. There are things that we kept for the future (...) We immediately thought about a season 2, or 3, depending on the plots. We have leads for season 2 but we are waiting for the channel's response " the authors of the series told us in September.
Unfortunately, we will have to resolve not to have answers on the fate of certain characters in the series, which follows the daily life of a large family that owns a palace on the Côte d'Azur when a young man, Anthony (Victor Meutelet) comes to look for answers on the disappearance of her sister, a former maid who mysteriously disappeared. We will therefore not know what will happen to Hélène (Flore Bonaventura) and her future baby coveted by Sophie Vasseur (Marie Kremer), if Amélie (Juliet Lemonnier) died of her injuries after trying to shoot Margaux ( Solène Hébert), or if Xavier Vasseur (Alain-Fabien Delon) really ended his life and if Anthony and Margaux will be entitled to a happy ending.
