It's that time of year when festivals are in full swing and everyone is looking glam. Sadly we won't be doing any festivals this year. The Little Man is too young to come or be left so I'll be catching up with them all on the TV, but that doesn't mean I don't get excited over all things festival related.
I was recently given the opportunity to try the Gosh Festival kit which is a selection of make up items perfect to take to a festival. There's no need for a massive make up bag, the festival kit is fuss free, light weight and ideal for looking great from the start of the festival until the very end.
Gosh products are purse friendly and all the products are paraben and fragrance free.GOSH All-in-One CC Cream 'Sand' £8.99
An oil free CC cream which is very lightweight and easy to apply. I found the shade (sand) too dark for my skin but I think a litter shade would have been fine. It gives a very light coverage and is very much like tinted moisturiser. It's the kind of thing I use where I have a tan or I'm abroad and don't want a thick layer of foundation melting off my face. It's easy to blend with your finger tips and is also easily removed with a wipe.
GOSH Danielle Nail Varnish 'Sea Me' £3.99 A gorgeous shade of turqouise blue. It has a faint shimmer and looks gorgeous. I applied two coats to my nails and found the coverage great. I've had it on for three days so far and there are no chips or peeling yet. Toesnails will be next with this beauty, then there's no excuse not to get my feet out.GOSH Forever Eyeshadow 'Grey' £5.99
An eyeshadow in pencil form. It's a soft smooth easy to apply pencil. I found it too to thick to get even coverage on my eyelids, it worked better as a thick kohl pencil to create fab thick flicks. The color is great though and it doesn't slide off or disappear into my creases. It's a gun metal gray shade with a sparkly shimmer.
GOSH Smokey Eye Liner in Smokey 'Black' £5.99
I have a love hate relationship with eyeliners. I love the look but always find they run or fade really quickly with my watery eyes. This is pretty good, it's well pigmented and glides across the eyelid easily, leaving a a long-lasting color.
GOSH Waterproof Volume Mascara 'Black' £7.49 I'm impressed by this mascara. It goes on easily without any clumping or stickiness and it lasts. It really lasts! I practically had to scrub my eye lashes off to get it off. It's a very long lasting waterproof mascara. GOSH Velvet Touch Lipstick '158 Yours Forever' £6.49 Wow, what an intense shade. It's beautiful. I love bright lips. It's long lasting and quite moisturising but it does need to be reapplied during the day, otherwise it tends to disappear from the center of your lips, leaving an odd lip liner effect.
Overall a nice little selection of products. I'm a massive fan of the lipstick and the waterproof mascara. I'm going to look out next time I'm in Superdrug for some of the other shades of lipstick, particularly a cherry red shade.
