Today we’re traveling to beautiful island of Skiathos where Sophie and Luke decided to tie the knot! These two wanted something different to celebrate their big day so they chose their favorite island to create an unforgettable wedding. They the style simple yet chic with a color palette of white, olive green and gold. The venue was decorated with olive garlands and candles which matched perfectly with the Greek landscape. The bride shared with us: “We met 12 years ago through a mutual friend. Luke proposed whilst we were on holiday in Santorini. I always said I would know when he was going to propose but I had no idea. Santorini was the last destination for us after visiting Cyprus and Athens. Unbeknown to me Luke has booked the most beautiful restaurant just as we watched the sunset, he got down on one knee.”
“Everything was really easy and planned by our wedding co ordination morning at Kassandra Bay.”
“My bouquet was made of gypsophila and white roses. The wedding decoration was all green and gold to blend in with the lovely olive garlands on the tables. We let the decoration minimal as you didn’t need much with the stunning surroundings.”
“I’ve always known I wanted lace sleeves on my dress, and I was slightly nervous with the heat, but it was the dress of my dreams, so I had to buy it. I’m so glad I did go for the sleeves; the style was a slim fit with a lace train, and it was perfect.”
“The ceremony took place in Skiathos, our favorite Greek Island, we have visited 3 times prior to deciding it was the place we wanted to get married. We love Greece, in particular Skiathos. We really wanted to do something different to celebrate our special day and going abroad was perfect.“Our concept was very relaxed just like our personalities, we went with green and gold for our colours. I love dark green and olive trees, so the theme was perfect for Greece.”
“It’s really hard to choose a favorite moment! The whole thing was amazing, and I loved every minute. One of my favorite moments was definitely the groom’s speech he’d put so much effort into it and it was perfect. Also, our first dance enjoying the moment and have everyone joining in with us.”
Advice to bride-to-be: “Take your time and enjoy it, don’t worry about the small things and remember it’s your day so go for exactly what you want.”
